Completion of Microsoft Exam 70-290 is vital to increase the effectiveness of the exercises.

5 days (full time)
9:00am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday (lunch and refreshments provided)

 

Course Content

The course consists of practical exercises that build your understanding and experience of a Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure, while preparing you for the Microsoft 70-291 certification exam.

Students who successfully pass this exam will be awarded an MCP from Microsoft and will have completed one of the required exams towards their MCSA/MCSE.

Day 1

  • Reviewing the Suite of TCP/IP Protocols
  • Assigning IP Addresses in a Multiple-Subnet Network

Day 2

  • Configuring a Client IP Address
  • Configuring a Client for Name Resolution

Day 3

  • Managing and Monitoring Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
  • Resolving Host Names by Using Domain Name System
  • Integrating Domain Name System and Active Directory

Day 4

  • Managing and Monitoring Domain Name System
  • Resolving NetBIOS Names by Using Windows Internet Naming Service
  • Configuring Routing by Using Routing and Remote Access

Day 5

  • Securing Network Traffic by Using IPSec
  • Configuring Network Access
  • Managing and Monitoring Network Access
